Protestants often claim that they have the same apostolic and historical continuity as the Catholic Church—but is that claim actually provable? In this video, I examine the one foundational claim Protestantism relies on and test it against the witness of the early Church. If the apostles founded a visible Church with real succession, then redefining the Church breaks the continuity claim before theology even begins.
Rather than debating sacraments or secondary doctrines, this video stays at the most basic level: what connects Christians to the apostles at all. By looking at how the early Church Fathers defined the Church, authority, and succession, we can see whether modern Protestant definitions align with the historical Church or quietly contradict it.
This isn’t about attacking individuals or questioning sincerity. It’s about asking a fair historical question: can you claim the apostolic deposit of faith while rejecting the structure the apostles themselves established?
