Tension erupted in Kalahandi district after a worker died due to an electric shock at a construction site of an ITI in Dharamgarh. The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Gopal from Bad Ghumar village.
Following the incident, locals staged a strong protest by placing the body on the road and blocking the national highway. Traffic between Dharamgarh, Bhawanipatna, and Chhattisgarh was severely affected.
Police have reached the spot and are trying to control the situation and pacify the protesters. The incident has raised serious concerns about safety measures at construction sites.
