Today's story is a story from my life and is thirty-five years old. I asked my cousin Rizwan Bhai that I wanted a Boski suit. Rizwan was living in Abu Dhabi at that time. He went to the UAE from Pakistan and sent me a suit from there. When I saw the suit, I was very happy. It was a very high-quality Boski. Boski is a high-quality type of fabric. I had the suit sewn by a tailor. At a time when shalwar kameez was sewn for forty rupees, I got the suit sewn for eight rupees. I was very happy. People used to ask in surprise where this fabric came from, so I used to tell the whole story and feel proud. I wore that dress with great care for fifteen years. One day after my marriage, I went to a wedding wearing the same Boski suit. Suddenly, while passing by a table, a nail got stuck in it and my favorite suit tore from the front. I was very sad. Someone told me that there are some tailors sitting at the Chobarji intersection who are very skilled in mending torn fabrics. At that moment, Chauburji went to the chowk and reached the shop of the most expert tailor and showed me the suit. That fifty-five-year-old man was examining the torn hem of my suit very carefully, like an expert doctor checking a patient. Then after examining it, he said, "Bauji, the wage will be eighty rupees." I said, "Okay, start working." That tailor was asking me, "What kind of work do you do?"
I told him that I was an actor and I wrote plays. It was at that time when one of my characters, Lala, became very famous on Geo TV. The name of the play was “Khazb”. He recognized me and offered me a chair. I kept watching and asking questions and the tailor took some threads from my suit and sewed my suit. After eight hours, the suit was ruined. If you look closely, you can see that it has been ruined. Or if you run your hand over the ruined area, the surface of the fabric feels uneven, but from two feet away, it looks like a new suit. I applied the paint and went home. Everyone was surprised that the suit looked new. After a few days, I realized that if a person learns the art of sewing and starts sewing the broken and worn-out relationships around him, then this work is very noble. If someone plays the role of a tailor in human life, how much benefit will it be to humans? We all carry our torn clothes and look for a seamstress who can sew them, but we do not try to be a seamstress who sews clothes. We have to be a needle that works on the chest, not a scissors that work on cutting, breaking, and separating. I pray that Allah will make me a seamstress so that I can sew the wounds on people's chests and get rid of the torn collars. Amen.
