Just days after Bernard Madoff was ordered to jail--the government is going after the assets of his wife Ruth.

The assets that the government hopes to seize include four properties, 10 million dollars in home furnishings and a 7 million dollar yacht in France. A court court document did not mention more than two and a half million dollars in jewelry.
Madoff's wife could theoretically claim more than a hundred million in assets. Federal prosecutors say she should should forfeit it all.
Prosecutors also are seeking the forfeiture of a Steinway piano and a silverware set kept in the Manhattan penthouse.
A lawyer for Mrs. Madoff, declined to comment.
Authorities say Madoff notified his investors in November that they had nearly 65 billion dollars in assets when there actually was about 1 billion left. He could face up to 150 years in prison when he sentenced in June.
