Four Amazing Historical and Curious Finds in Scarborough

Join me as i take a look at 4 historical and lesser known features that Scarborough has to offer.

We begin at the Olivers Mount War Memorial, towering over the seaside town of Scarborough since the 1920s and surrounded by the famous race track too.

We then take a look at a once important railway asset to the town, the portal of Falsgrave Tunnel. Once the start of the attractive former railway through to Whitby closed in 1965 and the tunnel closed in 1981.

Next up is a comical name Hairy Bobs Rock or Cave. Situated on the North Bay of Scarborough overlooked by the dominant Scarborough Castle.

Finally we head South to a Funicular Cliff Railway at the Scarborough Spa where we take a little look at a short 5 meter tunnel below the tracks that was out of use since 1973 and reopened an 2022
