She could still feel the warmth of the flames as she watched the burning remains of Neoromancers from her latest
cleansing - job given by the Corporation. Those were her last memories from that night. Memories so distant they could be dreams. Dreams - nightmares more like. A horrible feeling of claustrophobia hit her as she flinched awake. She was trapped. Trapped in some kind of chamber. A chamber full of some kind of liquid. But she could breath. No, those were not her lungs doing the breathing. Cables, tubes and pipes were circling and connecting to her body. DreamNet - That’s what she was connected into? It couldn’t be. She had to escape quickly. How long had she been in that chamber? For how long had they been altering her dreams, her mind?

Who “They” were didn’t matter.

By struggle she made her break out from the underground Drome. Climbing up the sewer she reached the surface, a street of a city she couldn’t recognize. From the reflection of a display window she looked herself. Her haggard pale white skin was full of bruises and scars. Then she saw from the reflection, standing behind her, two creatures - black and white - like the Nightmares in her sleep. As soon as she turned around shocked those demons were gone. Visions? The Corporation had told her about those. Visions of Synthax Terrors, demonspawns of NeoCyrax, a diabolical overseer of the DreamNet, causing the Midnight Hunger a killing frenzy so to speak to his victims.
She wanted revenge and she was ready to leave her former life as
Fuel name she was given behind.
Now she goes by the name Ultra and she’s ready for violence.
Her enemies shall be Doomed.
