In this session of the Distributed Ledger Technology Seminar, we were joined by Siggi Óskarsson, Ásgeir Thór Óskarsson, and Darren Kellenschwiler from the BSV Association for a deep technical exploration of “BSV Blockchain — How to Achieve Scaling Beyond 1M TPS.”
They explained the architectural principles, protocol design decisions, and system-level engineering that enable BSV to reach throughput far beyond conventional blockchain limits. The talk covered topics such as unbounded block sizes, deterministic validation rules, simplified transaction processing, and the node-operator model that allows the network to scale linearly with hardware improvements. They also discussed real-world stress tests, infrastructure requirements, and the implications of massive-scale blockchain capacity for enterprise and public-sector applications.
