On The Scene: Groups taking part in a protest against corruption in the government kept their demonstration in Recto Avenue, Manila on Sunday after failing to reach Mendiola, which is near Malacañang Palace. This came after police blocked their path to Mendiola, following their march from Luneta. At the Recto corner of San Sebastian, a large number of police officers had already met the protesters, setting up barricades. Concrete barriers, barbed wire and container vans were also deployed, along with fire trucks.
