6th Grade Math 11.2f, Writing Real-World Problems for a Given Equation

Описание: We start with a quick review of the Subtraction and Addition Properties of Equality. We think of real-world problems that fit given equations. We examine each part of the equation. The variable is the unknown quantity were looking for. Is it an addition or subtraction equation? Are we adding quantities, or are we taking one quantity from another quantity? We write 4 problems that fit given equations. When solving equations that contain a variable, our goal is to isolate the variable to one side of the equal sign. We can accomplish this by using Properties of Equality, and inverse operations.
