My last crossing catch from December 10th, 2022 was a second video of combined sand/aggregate train ROGKT. Here we see them passing the first crossing they would encounter on the Waco Sub after taking the wye from the Austin Sub.
Since my last video taken here all the way back in 2020, this crossing has received an LED retrofit. This had occurred pretty recently when this video was taken. In retrospect, it is pretty amazing how many crossings on the Waco Sub escaped the LED treatment well into 2021. UP was almost entirely LED crossing-wise by the mid-2010, at least in Texas. Just one crossing on the Waco Sub retains incandescent lights, being the almighty 15th Street in Waco. I have no idea how those classic 8-inch MKT crossings are still there.
