Amidst the ongoing violence in Manipur, a group of women took a notable action on Friday by tearing up the resignation letter of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
The chief minister had intended to meet Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan in Imphal. However, the women obstructed his convoy, blocking the road in front of Raj Bhavan. In a video capturing the incident, they can be seen tearing apart his resignation letter, appealing to him not to step down from his position as Chief Minister.
The recent surge in violence in Manipur resulted in the loss of three lives and left five individuals injured on Thursday. These events gave rise to speculation regarding N Biren Singh's potential resignation from the position of Chief Minister.
