AMD RX 6000 Series To Draw Up To 355W?!

Описание: In the last video, we talked about the rumored specifications of AMD’s upcoming Big Navi GPUs. Specifically the clock speeds of Navi 21 XT and Navi 21 XL. we also touched on the power draw, which is what we’re exploring further today.

The 2 Total Graphics Power or TGP figures we saw were for Navi 21 XT. The reference models would have a TGP or 255W and Custom OC cards from Add-in board partners would have a maximum of 290W.

But AMD’s TGP and Nvidia’s TGP are 2 different figures. For Nvidia, total graphics power is the total graphics card power. This includes the chip, the memory, the power delivery assembly, fans, lighting, and losses through the PCB.

For AMD, TGP is limited to the main chip and the power supplied to the Vram. So adding all of the other components to the Navi 21 XT’s wattage would give us the actual TBP of the card. TBP stands for Total board power. So how much power will Navi 21 XT actually consume? Well, all we can do right now is a guesstimate, and that’s exactly what Igor Wallosek from Igors lab did.
