Caring for Aging Parents

Описание: In this video, host Dr. Roberta Holt interviews Kathleen B Kerr about the multigenerational issue of care for the elderly who can no longer live independently. When older people become less capable and independent, anxiety is generated. How well the caregiver can separate their emotional reactions from the person they are caring for is key to a successful adjustment and to avoiding burning out. A responsible assessment of what can and can not be done is essential, above making the other happy. Caregiving can provide a good opportunity for “growing up.”
