The Hebrew word for Passover is פֶּסַח (Pesach). For centuries, your English Bible has told you it means "to pass over," as if Yahweh walked down the street, saw the blood on your door, and kept going. Absence. Avoidance. A God who chose not to stop.
But the original Hebrew tells a completely different story. When you trace the root letters, when you look at how the verb is actually used in Isaiah 31:5 and 1 Kings 18:21, when you discover what the Jewish Septuagint translators understood that English translators missed, the meaning shifts from absence to fierce, hovering, protective presence.
In this teaching, I break down the three root letters of Pesach (Pey, Samech, Chet), show you what they reveal when read together, and walk you through the scriptures that prove Passover was never about God skipping your house. It was about God stationing Himself at your doorway and refusing to let the destroyer enter.
This is a Passover teaching for the Year of the Pey (5786). Your mouth activates this protection. Learn how.
At the end, I'll teach you a Hebrew declaration you can speak over your home this Pesach season.
