Medieval Island City-State - Minecraft Build Timelapse - Norgard

Описание: Returning to the island where my previous video took place, this video features the full timelapse build of the Free City of Norgard! Loosely inspired by various cities in Norway and Denmark. Specific areas of inspiration include old towns in Bergen, Trondheim and Copenhagen.

A city-state of merchants and mercenaries, Norgard remains independent from the much larger and imposing Kingdom of Vishgardia to their north. Protected by Driftholm Castle on the southern shores of the island, the harbors of Norgard are some of the most prosperous in the whole known world.

Norgard is situated on an island near the Primordial Sea's northern passageway, where trade routes leading west towards Mideaux and Aelithia must anchor at its seaport in order to make the journey towards the Eastern and Southern Seas. Vishgardian raiders often stop by Norgard first after a successful plunder along the shores of Mideaux or Salumnra, as merchants from Norgard are of the few who will openly trade with them. These dynamics help to boost relations between the two states. As a result of their close relations, the people of Vishgard and Norgard share a similar culture, however the Norgardians favor peace and trade with other peoples as opposed to their more war-inclined neighbors.
