Katie James is a Colombian singer, guitarist, and songwriter of Irish descent who grew up on a small farm in Tollima, Colombia in a house without electricity or TV. Her music reflects her origins, a mixture of Celtic sounds and the traditional rhythms of the interior of Colombia, showcasing her mastery of the guitar, singing with a deep powerful voice in Spanish and English. In this livestream, you can listen to her incredible music talking about the armed conflict of Colombia and her impressions of the differences between rural and city life.
