 If you loved Longmire, you're going to really enjoy Joe Pickett, a neo-Western TV series with a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Longmire is a six-season neo-Western that first premiered on A&E in 2012. After three seasons, the network declined to renew the show, but thankfully, Netflix picked up the baton.  Three more seasons of the series commenced, and the show finished with a strong 88% overall on Rotten Tomatoes. The tale of Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor), the sheriff of Absaroka County in Wyoming, and his partner and friend Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips), solving crimes and protecting the county and the nearby reservation, is an intriguing one.  Longmire is a true modern Western TV show, the type of series that could believably be set in the 19th century if the phones and telephone wires were erased from the scenes. It stands out from similar neo-Westerns like Justified and Yellowstone, but Joe Pickett is as good a replacement as you're going to find. Joe Pickett Is A Paramount Neo-Western Set In Yellowstone National Park  Joe Pickett, much like Longmire, started off on one network before being picked up by another. The series first premiered on Spectrum Originals in 2021 for season 1, but then season 2 was released on Paramount+ in June 2023. Just as Longmire is named after the main character, so too is Joe Pickett.  Joe Pickett is played by Michael Dorman in the series. A career game warden, Pickett moves his family to Saddlestring, Wyoming, a remote town on the outskirts of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Joe takes over for Vern Dunnegan (David Alan Grier), a respected former game warden and the current pseudo-mayor in Saddlestring.  It doesn't take long for Joe and his wife, Marybeth (Julianna Guill), to uncover a conspiracy right in their own backyard, one that ropes in Vern, the local influential Scarlett family, and some other townsfolk, all with eyes on taking as much as they can from the pristine, untouched land of Yellowstone.  Dorman is joined by an impressive cast in Joe Pickett, including Sharon Lawrence, Paul Sparks, Keean Johnson, Patrick Gallagher, Brendan Fletcher, and more.
