Ryzen 3950x delid

Описание: Deliding of my 3950x
Temps dropped 18 degree celcius when using it with bare cores on CPU block. I will upload more videos later on with before and after deliding temps and benchmarks.
Regarding the deliding process itself, because the surface area is so big, the entire process took almost an hour and I truly thought I had killed it, so much was the force needed to take the heat spreader off.

A better idea would probably be to put it on a oven at 160 degrees ( the melting point of the indium solder ) and them pop the heatspreader off.


I will upload further videos of my Mini-ITX 2950x based build.

NOTE ( added 31/1/2020 ): at minute 09:00 when the heat spreader pops off you can see that there are to capacitors lying free on the right of the chip. I then blow them off and proceed to cleaning the cores. I didn't notice this when deliding, and it was a user ( deepcuts over at overclock.net forums ) that actually noticed it while seeing the video . This just shows how dangerous this process is. The CPU is working fine and I haven't noticed any issues with it running without those two capacitors, yet, AMD certainly put them there for a reason.
