Steam Fair 1972. Mother and daughter in car park full of cars. They wave at the camera. Daughter eats a toffee apple. Carousel, merry-go-round or roundabout. A parrot or parakeet, a man makes it do tricks and pretend to be dead. Traction engines and light aircraft bi-plane on display. Miniature locomotive steam engine. Large traction engine with fly wheel. A Ferris wheel in the background. A man sits on a miniature steam engine as it goes along.
Christmas Day 1972.
Girl gives her mother a Christmas present and then proceeds to unwrap it herself to show the gift of handkerchiefs or similar to the camera. Girl hands her grandmother a present. Family in their lounge or front room or sitting room or parlour. A Christmas tree in the background and a television which is on. In the same room, a table is spread with things for Christmas tea, cake, nibbles, biscuits, Christmas crackers at each place setting. The girl reads out a joke from the Christmas cracker. Two people take a very long time to fail to pull a cracker, so a substitute cracker puller steps in and achieves the desired effect, eventually.
Children in the street pose for the camera, they have a little Yorkshire Terrier puppy. They stroke it and take it for a walk. The street is lined with terrace houses. Puppy is picked up and made a fuss of by different members of the family. The father picks it up and it licks his face. Puppy chews his finger. Girl carries the puppy, family walk down the street with the puppy. Teenage girl wears great knee high white 1970s boots and orange knitwear. Take puppy to walk in the park.
Camping. The father makes a pot of tea with hot water from the camp stove. Children go inside a terrace house.
Girl takes a photograph of swans. Swan sitting on a nest. A child takes a beagle dog for a walk. Beagle runs around, girl shouts at it.
