In this video, I take you through the full process of creating a traditional Ukrainian Easter egg, cast in solid bronze — right in my backyard foundry.
It all begins in Blender, where I design the egg and add symbolic Ukrainian motifs. The 3D model is prepared in Lychee Slicer and printed with a resin printer. I then use the lost wax casting method, burning out the printed model in a gypsum-based investment mold. The bronze is melted in my homemade gas furnace and poured into the mold.
The final piece is revealed through careful cleaning and polishing — a handcrafted bronze egg, blending ancient technique with modern tools.
