This video is a demonstration of V2V ink being screen-printed on an automatic press at Duratech, a commercial screen-printer.
First, the substrate is registered and fixed to the moving stage by vacuum. The V2V ink is then flooded and printed using squeegees. Then, the printed CNT films are automatically transferred to the conveyor belt at a rate 6 samples/min. Finally, the ink is dried in a continuous oven at ~100°C to quickly evaporate the V2V Ink Vehicle plus solvents. After drying, only CNT plus polymer binder remain on the film.
Typically, no complicated and costly post-processing steps, such as rinsing operations or high-temperature baking, are needed to remove surfactants or non-fugitive rheology modifiers.
