This is the 30th in a series of videos geared toward the person who has never worked with CAD or CAM in the Vectric Software before.

I apologize in advance for the crummy audio quality in this video. I really don’t know what happened, but I sound like I’m talking on a telephone from the 1960s.

In this video, I’ll introduce the subject of Two-Sided Machining in the Vectric software.

This is such an involved subject, even though the project is a simple one, I’m splitting it into two parts. This video will focus on the CAD/CAM side of the project. In the next video, I’ll take you outside, mount the material, then machine both sides of the project.

I’ve been wanting to make this video for a long time, and the right project finally came along. In this video, I’ll show you how to set up a 2-Sided job in the Vectric software. We’ll go into Job Setup, drawing vectors, adding a 3D model, and creating the indexing pin holes for both sides of a two-sided project. We’ll then calculate the toolpaths, preview them, then save the g-code, so we can go out to the CNC and start cutting.
