There’s a lot of confusion and misinterpretation with blood glucose and how it works 🩸
…and this can create problems and fears that don’t need to exist (like the all-too-common claims that “fruit is high in sugar because it raises my blood sugar”) ❌
The first misconception to address is the fear around blood glucose elevating… the truth is your blood glucose is *supposed* to elevate after you eat 📈
If you’re blood glucose didn’t rise after a meal.. we have major problems to address with your digestive tract 😮
But with that elevation in blood glucose after you eat… you should also see your blood glucose come down after a few hours… and this rise-and-fall or ebb-and-flow should look more like rolling hills, NOT giant peaks and valleys 🏔️ (meaning glucose spikes and drops/crashes ❌)
💡”Steady” and “stable blood glucose” means rolling hills… NOT stagnant nor dramatic swings
