The Balearic island of Formentera with its most popular white-sand beach Ses Illetes. Soft sand on a narrow strip of land with crystal clear shallow warm water and luxurious yachts docked nearby.
The only way to reach Formentera's tropical beach is by ferry from Ibiza, as there is no airport on the island. Ferry traveling is a comfortable way to get around the Balearics, as you can breathe fresh air at the deck, all while admiring the sunrise on the Mediterranean Sea. Go there early enough, in case you bring your car, park at "Es Ministre" and walk past the second rock to find the best quiet spots at the beach. I recommend to bring your picnic and umbrella to relax comfortably on isolated place. Formentera has plenty to uncover if you're willing to walk. The very end of Formentera has more rugged landscape and a small strip of sand called Es Pas where some people try to cross the shallow body water of the rough sea to Espalmador Island. A small private island that has been sold to a Luxembourg family for €18 million. At the southern end of Ses Illetes beach, you’ll find a couple of beachside restaurants with amenities close by.
