Birra Moretti L'Autentica (BA score 69) is an Italian pale lager, founded in Udine in 1859 by Luigi Moretti & currently brewed by Heineken N.V. at various production plants across Italy. The beer's history is tied to its original recipe, which remains "almost unchanged" since 1859, & is famously depicted by the mustachioed "Gentiluomo" on its label since 1942. This low-fermentation lager has an ABV of 4.6% & an approximate IBU of 12, & is made from water, malted barley, maize, & a special blend of high-quality hops; its appearance is a clear golden color, & its aroma & flavor feature a delicate citrus hop base, floral notes, a top note of wholemeal bread, & a well-balanced bitter taste with a clean aftertaste, providing a smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel that is slightly sweet.
Stiegl Hell (BA score 88) is a German-Style Helles, or pale lager, produced by Stieglbrauerei zu Salzburg GmbH in Salzburg, Austria, with a history tied to a brewery established in 1492. As a bottom-fermented full beer, its brewing process uses regionally sourced water, barley malt, & 100% aroma hops & yields an ABV of 4.5% & an IBU of 18. It has a sunny, bright blonde or clear pale gold appearance with a crystal-white head; it delivers a fresh hop aroma, soft bready notes from the malt, & a flavor that is wonderfully harmonious, with a slender body, fine, tangy carbonation, & a fine, aromatic hop finish.
Pabst Blue Ribbon (BA score 69) is an American lager, originating in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1844 by Jacob Best, Sr., & is currently sold by the Pabst Brewing Company (based in San Antonio, TX) &, as of 2025, has a contract-brewing agreement with Anheuser-Busch InBev in the U.S. (following prior contract with Molson Coors/City Brewing). Its history includes being originally called "Best Select" & getting its now-famous name after blue ribbons were tied around the bottle necks between 1882 & 1916 following its victory as 'America's Best' at the 1893 Chicago Columbian Exposition. PBR is brewed using a process that utilizes water, barley malt, corn (maize adjunct, typically corn syrup or flaked corn), & a blend of hops & yeast; the flagship Original PBR has an ABV of 4.7%, a light & malty flavor, & a smooth, mild profile, with a light yellow/pale color.
