The 1985 film Runaway Train starring Jon Voigt, was scored by composer Trevor Jones. The score featured a heavily electronic rock sound, with driving, machine like rhythms and a cold sound befitting of the Alaskan setting. This score was loved by some, and criticized by others who felt a traditional symphonic score would have been more timeless, especially as Jones had a background in composing for a full orchestra.
This track is a reimagining of that score using some traditional music and sound editing, with artificial intelligence, as if it were produced in a modern electronic DAW, and no actual live musicians. Artists such as Jon Hopkins, Bonobo, Four Tet, and Burial, or Oneohtrix Point Never and Caterina Barbieri.
