CDS 1 2025 English Question Paper Answer Keys and Analysis

The paper is of easy to medium difficulty level, with questions being asked from the conventional topics asked previously in CDS English papers namely Spotting errors, Idioms & Phrases, Fill in the Blanks, Ordering of Words, Ordering of Sentences, Prepositions & Determiners, Word Classes or Parts of Speech. However, some topics which have been asked in CDS English paper since time immemorial like Antonyms, Synonyms, Comprehension were not asked this time in CDS 1 2025 exam. As the CDS English paper custom, new topics have also been added this time in the paper with a twist like Fill in the blanks with correct discourse markers / expressions. Question patterns have been changed as well in topics like Word classes and Commonly Used Words. Another new topic, Usage of Homophones was added in CDS 1 2025 English paper. Sentence Improvement topic which was there in the CDS English syllabus but appeared for the first time in CDS 2 2024 English exam was repeated this time as well in CDS 1 2025 exam. Some topics which were asked before once in CDS 1 2024 exam like Correlating sentences, Usage of Paired Words, Word Meaning, reappeared for the second time in CDS 1 2025 English paper.
