After a relaxed ride into the valley, we began hiking towards the top of Ambaji Durga under a warm, bright sun. The hike itself wasn’t technically challenging, but the riding gear and weather conditions made it demanding—at least for me. That said, with constant encouragement and good company, I managed to make it almost to the top, where we paused to rest and soak in the sweeping 360-degree views of the valley below. Totally worth it.

The descent on foot was pleasant, but the ride back down turned adventurous. While retrieving a fellow rider’s cap that had slipped downhill, I experienced a bike fall—the slope, loose surface, and gravity didn’t give me much room to recover. Touchwood, I walked away unhurt, though the bike picked up a few scars that can always be fixed.

Despite the timing not being ideal, this ride was a reminder that group rides are about the people, the moments, and the memories, not just perfect conditions. A fun, learning-filled morning that I’ll definitely remember.
