Deathslinger in 2025 is becoming one of the worst killers in the game. While other ranged killers get incredible compensations for the changing game, Slinger hasn't received a buff in almost a year, and has never received anything notable, while in the last two patches, mending has become easier and visually less impactful. With the recent patch, not only has the release of Kaneki led to a rise in the use of MFT, meaning the speed gap between Slinger & survivors is only 7%, but a new bug means shots occasionally don't validate at all and this leads to lost games. I have two games today - one where all four survivors had MFT and it meant chase was nigh on impossible, and another where one invalidated shot lost the game.
