High tide, along with storm surge causing the Thames Barrier to be shut for the afternoon. While shut, the water level flooded the banks and into the park adjacent to the Thames Barrier (regular occurrence) Caught in time lapse.
Edited to add some audio, so its not so dull to watch :)
For the first 2 mins or so, if watched on a decent sized screen you can see the far barriers closing, and the water stop flowing through them. After this time the water begins rising more and breaches the bank.
