During my Yogyakarta trip, I had a chance to visit the great Borobudur Temple which is about 100km away of Yogyakarta. I purposely booked a hotel named: Manohara hotel which is located inside the Borobudur Temple Park premises. This is equal to a 24-hour entry permit to the Borobudur Temple.
I am deeply impressed by the complex and magnificent architectural structure of the Borobudur temple, as well as its ingenious architectural wisdom. Although I don't know much about the concepts of "Spiritual Journey" and "Nirvana" in Buddhism, I am still deeply shocked, while also feeling my own ignorance and insignificance. I also deeply realize that no matter how civilization changes, the pursuit of faith and spiritual freedom by humanity will never stop.
The Manohara Hotel offers 2 options: Garden view room or Cottage Villa at Dagi Hill. I decided to try the Cottage Villa. It is located at Dagi Hill. The cottage villa is inside forest with beautiful environment and great view. The rooms is also very comfortable. The only drawback is that it is a bit far away from the Borobudur Temple. Hope next time I come; I may prefer to just stay at the Garden view room.
The next day morning I had chance to view the sunrise at the top of the Dagi Hill. It is not spectacular really but still a beautiful scenery. I heard the most spectacular sunrise should be on the top tier of the Borobudur temple, but unfortunately, due to safety concern, government closed the sunrise point at the Borobudur temple, It's a bit pity.
before I checkout, I had chance to visit the Mini Zoo and Elephant Cage, It's very interesting as well.
I'll definitely need to come back again to continue my "Spiritual Journey".
