Описание: Here is a real gem for Progressive Rock collectors the UK Band `England` released this Genesis/Yes style LP called `Garden Shed` on Arista Records (ARTY 153) in 1977, it came in a single laminated sleeve with the artwork based on Golden Shred Marmalade (as in `Garden Shed` get it). It was suppose to come with a booklet (it never did see below) Mint copies are fetching up to 180 pounds and set to rise

The Booklet??
To clear up a collecting myth: the idea at the time of release was that you would send a pound and a booklet would be sent to you to accompany the LP, however
Original keyboard player Robert Webb stated in an interview with Background Magazine that the reason the booklet wasn’t sent, is because it never went to print. The artwork was produced, but by the time the album was sold the money given to the band had already been spent. The manager turned out to be less than effective; not only did he fritter the modest sum the band had in advance of sales. He was unable to even keep the creativity going forward.

England biography
This British quartet featured Martin Henderson (bass, vocals), Franc Holland (guitar, vocals), Robert Webb (keyboards, vocals) and Jode Leigh (percussion, vocals, bass). Their debut LP "Garden Shed" is a 24-carat prog rock album and it was also very a sought after item. Keyboard player Robert Webb re-released the original album tapes on a limited edition CD with the help of Gordon Haskell and The Forward Organisation. This in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Garden Shed" in 1997.
The album "Garden Shed" has strong echoes from early GENESIS and YES. The often Mellotron drenched compositions sound melodic, warm and inventive with many captivating changes of climate and thrilling breaks. The guitar work is sensitive, the keyboard play is varied and the vocals are strong, no doubt these are good musicians, another good British prog rock band. Not to be missed in any serious prog rock collection!.
