Cinque Terre needs no introduction, its a combination of five small beautiful charming villages on the Italian Riviera located somewhere between the cities of Genoa and Pisa.
How to reach Cinque Terre:
To get to Cinque Terre (Five villages), you first have to get to La Spezia, which can easily be reached from Genoa in north or from Pisa in south by road or train.
From La Spezia, there runs special (and only) train “Cinque Terre express” which runs along the coast through the hills and takes you through all the villages of Cinque Terre and ends at Levanto, which on the other side of Cinque Terre.
Ticket and Train Schedule:
Train schedule varies from season to season and so does the prices with time, so its better to check it on official site

Hiking:
There is a 11 km trail (called the Blue Trail) connecting Riomaggiore to Monterosso al Mare. Please be mindful that you have to pay to do a trail!
RIOMAGGIORE:
Riomaggiore is the first village when traveling in the direction from La Spezia to Levanto.
if you have time, make sure to take a walk towards the center of village from the station. And as you walk across, you will soon realize that it’s situated in a small valley with mountains on both the sides.
If you have already walked this much, then make sure to visit The Church of San Giovanni Battista. It overlooks the whole town.
And is connected to Manarola by this famous footpath.
The Church of San Giovanni Battista
you can find the Sanctuary of Madonna di Montenero; A popular hike leads to this remote Catholic church & monastery overlooking the ocean.
MANAROLA:
Probably the prettiest and the most picturesque of all five with pastel-colored houses, small alleys and a small harbor for fishing boats.
If possible visit this town in night, looks more beautiful
CORNIGLIA:
Right at the center of the five and probably the smallest of all.
Also, it is only the village which is not right on the sea. In fact, if you want to visit it, you have to go there by walk, car/bus or train. But remember: if you go by train you will still have about 380 steps to climb.
VERNAZZA:
It is probably the most characteristic of the Cinque Terre and is classified as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
The Church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, built on the rocks overlooking the sea
We did the trail between Vernazza to Monterosso
MONTEROSSO:
It is the largest of the five. And, the only one with a beach.
It is divided into two parts
the old town center and the modern part with the Fegina beach.
It was a treat to the eyes to see all these places up close and witness the beauty in real. We would recommend this place to anyone who is passing by the region to make a pit stop here and see it yourself and cover these places in one day.
