As we approach our 70th Anniversary of preservation, it's nice to look back at our Founders Day in 2019.
Founders Day celebrates the anniversary of the first train operated in Railway Preservation, on 14th may 1951. The train was operated by the volunteer led Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society, the model for all preserved railways in the World!
Our patrons from our 'Heart of Gold' group attend the event every year, and we've captured what makes the Railway special to them.
