There is a lot of talk about the U.S. Magnitsky Act, which was first introduced against Russia in 2012 under President Barack Obama. Afterwards sanctions under this Act were applied also on Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh to punish them for violating and curtailing democratic rights and the rule of law.
Does Pakistan also face similar sanctions in the weeks to come for democratic regression and compromised rule of law?
