On Saturday 15th October 2022, the Southern Downs Steam Railway operated a steam train service to the small township of Clifton as part of the Clifton Country Week celebrations. A shuttle was also run to the neighbouring township of Greenmount for the locals to experience a ride behind a steam locomotive.
Due to a track machine being parked on the turning angle at Hendon, the locomotive was unable to turn on the forward journey and this meant tender first running from Greenmount back to Warwick.
