Описание: New stop signs at the base gates serve an important purpose before you drive onto the active-vehicle barrier. The new system is one of the safest options available, but should a vehicle engage the barrier while it is "up", at any rate of speed, car damage and injury are still possible. Based on the configuration of GF AFB's gates, it requires additional safety measures to meet DoD regulations. The stop signs give innocent drivers time to pause, recognize the barrier is activating, and have the reflexive time to remain clear of the barrier when it deploys. As a "good guy" stopping before the barrier, you are assisting in providing a last line of defense between a hazardous vehicle and our base.
