Описание: The present research project aims at designing magneto- responsive materials for use as actuators which respond to temperature, magnetic field and mechanical constraints. By using a film-type polymer liquid-crystalline matrix capable to change its shape and embedded magnetic particles the macroscopic dimensions of an ensemble of films can be efficiently tuned by an ON-OFF temperature in conjunction with an external magnetic field.
