We played with MiP, the robot that balances by WowWee and what we liked the most was:

You do not need a smartphone or a tablet to play with MiP.

On the other hand, what we didn’t like was:

The sensor that detects the hand gestures is not very precise and handling or programming MiP in this way can be frustrating.
