The force was introduced on Friday with significant publicity in the presence of UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli. The 11-member team is led by Pushparaj Shrestha of Sindhuli, who has now been appointed commander.

Shrestha, previously involved with UML’s Youth Force, is listed in the police Criminal Record System (CRS) for multiple charges, including attempted murder, abduction, and public offense. Police records show he has been linked to criminal activities since 2063 BS, with cases filed in various years including 2075, 2073, 2063, 2064, 2067, and 2070.
