What a way to kick off the 2026 season for our 5 Marsden State High School Football Excellence SPL squads - Junior Boys, Intermediate Boys, Senior Boys, Junior Girls & Senior Girls - taking on state school bench markers, Kelvin Grove State College at home in The Shark Tank 🦈
Across all five games, the standard of football was outstanding. Intensity, quality, and character on display from both schools 👏
💪 Standout Performance - Intermediate Boys
A gritty, disciplined display. They dug deep, defended with purpose, and edged out a hard-fought 1–0 win.
⭐ Special Mention - Junior Boys
Yahya Haji’s journey is what Football Excellence is all about. From B Class in Year 7 to Man of the Match in yesterday’s 2–2 SPL clash - an incredible example of growth, commitment, and belief.
Huge congratulations to all players and staff at Marsden 👏
