Crusoe arrives! | The positive birth story of our little baby boy

Описание: Follow us through the full day... or two, when our little baby boy Crusoe was born. An ordinary day that became truly extraordinary. What a crazy nerve-racking and exciting day it was. None of it went according to "plan", he was 17 days past his due date, and we ended up having the very opposite of the birth plan we'd prepped for with a hospital induction and an eventual cesarean section, but it couldn't have been more positive and wonderful.

Midwives are true angels and the care we got at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford was second to none. We couldn't be more grateful that our little man is with us safely.

And now, the REAL adventure begins. We can't wait to show our little man the world he lives in, to teach him how to look after it and to make the most of it. In our wedding vows we promised to raise our children as little wanderers who know a world without borders, and horizons full of endless possibility.

We are the Newbys, John, Tara, and our two little boys Crusoe and Sawyer. We’re a family who are pursuing an alternative lifestyle, and after two years of full time travel we’ve taken root on an abandoned farm in Northern Portugal which we’re renovating into our dream off-grid homestead.
