This webinar will support Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) students in understanding what questions require financial reporting knowledge and how to approach those questions. However, this webinar will not cover in-depth explanations of individual financial reporting topics.

It is recommended that candidates should pass the ACCA’s Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) prior to attempting Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) as the financial reporting demands are a significant step up compared to the Audit and Assurance (AA) exam. AAA tests knowledge from both Financial Reporting (Skills level) as well as SBR (Strategic Professional level), whereas AA only tests the concepts from Financial Accounting (FA) such as inventory valuation and provisions.

In addition to much more complex financial accounting, the variety of questions students may face compared to AA increases which adds an additional layer of challenge. For example, students will need to evaluate whether sufficient and appropriate audit evidence was collected by the auditor’s.
