In this video I demonstrate that the Leica SL2 Multishot feature can be used for taking crisp and sharp images of the moon. My setup is very special: I combine the SL2 with the Leica Apo-Telyt-R 280mm f/4 which is a very rare Leica-R lens and double the focal length with the Leica 2x Apo-Extender-R plus Leica-R-to-L-Mount adapter.
I also tried the same setup with Multishot on the Fuji GFX 100s but it did not work for reasons I explain in the course of the video.
Ignore the aperture metadata in Lightroom in the video since there are no electronic contacts between the R-to-L-Mount adapter and the SL2 body so the aperture data is not transmitted into the metadata of images.
At 7:47 I speak about 100% crop but actually kept it at 50% crop to keep the full moon in the frame.
Also, what I did not mention in the video but needs to be taken into account when comparing the same lens on the SL2 and the GFX 100(s) is the crop factor between full frame and medium format sensors.
If you want to learn more about motion blur of the moon see here:

Motion blur of the moon is more complex, of course, than what I mentioned in the video: there is earth rotation, the moon orbit, etc.
Watch in 4K.
