Lézards Rêveurs (Dreaming Lizards) is a publication that brings together two personal notebooks by Jean Giraud (Moebius) created between 1996 and 1999. For Moebius carrying a notebook was a habit and we know this because of the already many notebooks which have been published in full, or partially revealed during the years in several art books. This collection of drawings represent snapshots of the artist’s mind as they transport us directly into another realm, offering a more intimate access to Mœbius’s lived experience and his dreamlike wanderings.
The highlight of the book are the draft of the the first 10 pages of Le Chasseur Déprime (The depressed hunter), the 3rd book in the Major Grubert series, which of course started with the Airtight Garage.
The book has some definition and reproduction issues but overall a must have for fans.
