From Breakdowns to El Questro – Gibb River Road Prep in the Kimberley

Описание: Before our Gibb River Road adventure even began, we found ourselves elbows-deep in repairs at an epic free camp on the banks of Buttons Crossing, just outside Kununurra, WA.
What was meant to be a vehicle and van check over, turned into swapping out a failing alternator and battery in the creek bed, plus giving our boat loader some much-needed attention.
From there, we headed into Kununurra for the big jobs - stocking up with three weeks worth of supplies, sending some gear home to free up weight in the caravan, and ticking off a few more maintenance items before making our way to El Questro Station.
Once set up at El Questro, we finished the last of the prep and put our new 200 series power system, the Bluetti Elite 100 V2 power station to the test before the Gibb River Road adventure officially began.
This is the reality of Kimberley travel, unexpected breakdowns, last-minute upgrades, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work to keep the trip rolling smoothly.
