How Fast Does Garden Lime Work In A Lawn

Описание: I wondered how fast lime worked in the lawn to change pH so I tested it. I checked my soil pH and then applied 24 pounds of calcitic lime, waited four months, and then tested it again to see how impactful the application was. In this video I show all of the results.

For my pH testing I used the MySoil mail-in test although nearly any test should work basically the same way. Grab sol from your lawn, put it in the collection cup, mail it in and check results a week to ten days later.

For lime your main options are dolomitic lime and calcitic lime. I used calcitic because my soil test showed I wasn't low on magnesium. If my soil was low on magnesium I would have used dolomitic lime to raise pH faster.
