10.26.2021 | 1:28 AM | LOS ANGELES - LAPD Newton units went in pursuit of a vehicle in the area of San Pedro and Washington for an unknown reason.
The suspect was seen at times driving on the wrong side of the road and at high rates of speed. (on video)
After a a joyride through South Gate and Huntington Park, officers pitted the vehicle near Vernon / Avalon. (on video).
The suspect stopped several times and taunted officers, repeatedly driving and stomping on the breaks.
The suspect was taken into custody after the 45 minute pursuit and a brief standoff near 41st / Hooper.
