Jennifer MacDiarmid, Co-founder and CEO, EnGeneIC Ltd was interviewed by Kathy Ireland for Worldwide Business which airs on Fox Business Network. They talked about the company’s novel and exciting EDV™ (EnGeneIC Dream Vector) nanocell platform technology, a targeted cyto-immunotherapy that not only destroys cancer cells by delivering powerful super-cytotoxics, leaving healthy cells alone, but stimulates the patient’s own immune system to mount an anti-tumour immune response. The EDV is proving safe and effective across a number of late-stage, intractable cancers like pancreatic cancer and mesothelioma.
Kathy also asked if COVID19 was a target for the EDV and Jennifer explained that “yes, since the immune response it provokes is effective as a strong anti-viral response too.” The EDV can package the spike proteins from the Wuhan and mutant viruses, including South African variant and can promote immune responses to all these COVID19 strains. EnGeneIC is focusing on “vulnerable” patients such as those with cancer, HIV, auto-immune diseases who may not respond well to vaccines and is poised to commence a clinical trial in Australia and the USA.
