This video illustrates the 12-hierarchical steps process synthesis, design, analysis and innovation with version 1 of ProCAFD using the well-known HDA (hydrodealkylation process of converting toluene and hydrogen to benzene).
Note that the same example and many more examples are highlighted for Version 2 of ProCAFD, which is a hybrid-AI tool combined with PSE tools.
Among others, the new version has,
Multiple entry points; generation of all feasible flowsheets (entry at synthesis step)
*Parser to convert flowsheet to eSFILES & hypergraphs, and vice versa:
*Reverse design for unit operations (entry at design strp);
*Links to external simulators (entry at simulation step);
*Links to analysis tools such as economics, LCA, etc. (entry at analysis step);
*Llinks to innovation tools for process improvement (innovation step).
Note that version 2 of ProCAFD has a feature for automatic generation of input to the linked simulators;, analysis and innovation tools.
